This role is responsible for demonstrating the features, benefits, and functions of our various lines of equipment to customers at their location.
This person will assist in fostering a strong customer relationship to support the sales staff while professionally and safely picking up and delivering equipment.
In addition, this person will provide inside sales support at all three Burris branches as well as other required duties as specified by the Sales Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1.
Demonstrate equipment: instruct end users on the operation, safety, features, and benefits of the equipment.
2.
Safely load, deliver, and pick up equipment to customers as scheduled by the sales staff.
3.
Establishes and maintains personal relations with customers; assists at exhibits, demonstrations, and meetings.
4.
Keeps familiar with new products and competitors’ products.
5.
Properly secure loads without damage.
6.
Ensure product is delivered clean and maintained.
7.
Provides back up assistance to the inside sales departments.
8.
Works with the Inventory & Light Equipment Manager when assistance is needed.
9.
Maintains required communication and cooperates with other company personnel.
10.
Maintains a high degree of sales professionalism through training and attendance of meetings and association activities to enhance product knowledge and industry relationships.
11.
Travel throughout Illinois, Southern Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana.
12.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Specifications: 1.
Must be able to lift 90lbs, 25% of the time, to load/unload equipment.
2.
Must be knowledgeable about the operation of a personal computer, Business system, & Microsoft Office.
3.
CDL preferred but not required.
4.
Understand and adhere to all DOT guidelines.
5.
Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
6.
Ability to travel between the three branches and sales territory.
Distributor Relationship: 1.
Cooperates with employees of other departments.
Works closely with all divisions and departments in a sales capacity.
2.
Accountable to the assigned Sales Manager for proper interpretation and fulfillment of all functions, specific and general responsibilities, and related authorities and relationships.
Method of Measurement: 1.
The attainment of outside sales revenue growth and profits through demonstrations.
2.
The satisfaction expressed by customers concerning Equipment Demo Specialist’s assistance.
3.
The satisfaction of management and other members of the sales team and company concerning performance.
