Position Description:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with some of Modine’s most important customers.
This role is also responsible for generating new business from key customers and for prospecting the market for new potential customers.
The KAM is to ensure Modine’s value are aligned with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Understands the needs of the key accounts, working with cross-functional teams to address those needs, and identifying any gaps or issues with our existing products or processes
Articulates Modine’s product benefits and advantages relative to competitor offerings.
Can articulate both commercial and technical offering benefits
Responsible for preserving current business within these key accounts and developing additional opportunities as relationships grow
Develops strategic account plans for each assigned account, considering all aspects of the key account (i.
e.
– decision making, motivation, needs, growth plans, etc.
).
Monitors the execution and progress of these plans and summarize status to upper management
Facilitates coordination among other business units to share growth opportunities and provide a synchronized approach from all Modine to the customer
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience (5+ years) in key account management, preferably in HVAC industry
Strong proficiency in all Microsoft applications
Strong negotiation and leadership skills
Ability to handle multiple key accounts
Recent work experience within the HVAC industry and/or coatings industry
Knowledge and experience working in SAP / CRM platforms
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering
Travel:
As needed, estimated 30% - 50%
Estimated Base Salary Range - $118,000 - $150,000
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location.
The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
