The Manager, eCommerce B&C will play a critical role in SC Johnson’s efforts to close the Pest Control penetration gap in digital commerce sales, and improve category share against our key competitors.
This role will be an anchor to the Pest business division for excellence in brick and click eCom portfolio, content, and conversion strategies, in service of increasing sales and profitability through the eCommerce channel.
This role will report into the Director, eCommerce, NA Pest Control Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead Pest eCommerce strategies for key B&C accounts, in partnership w/ Customer Marketing and Sales.
Partner closely with Sales account teams, Product Supply, and Omni teams to optimize in-stock, content, and conversion strategies on B&C retail platforms.
Act as point of contact for retail health and executional partners to identify retailer product categorization and digital shelf health improvement actions.
Partner closely to Media function and Marketing on holistic view of National + Commerce plans to drive conversion marketing agenda for Pest brands.
Be subject matter expert on retailer site capabilities and retailer product roadmap to identify programs and betas which would serve well PC brand campaigns or events.
Wire closely to Pest Customer Marketing on eCom as a strategic channel and key event + trade planning on site and in store coordination.
Work with Pest sales analysis, Sales eCom leads, and Consumer Insights team to ensure shopper behavior unique to each B&C retailer and eCom shopper is accounted for in both portfolio and marketing strategies.
Act as consult to Innovation and RD&E Portfolio leads on eCom insights to inform portfolio strategies.
Partner closely with finance to organize eCom item level profitability and sales insights to inform media spend priorities.
Work with Sales eCom lead and Consumer insights team on internal and external measurement resources to analyze results, publish periodic reports and action recommendations with Customer Marketing.
Be a strategic resource for Sales and Customer Marketing when wiring retailer media investments/plans into annual trade negotiations and agreements.
Identify interdependencies across other NA categories and the Pest business and craft a work plan to complement total business and any plans already underway.
Work with NA Sales Organization and Omni Channel team to build scale and capitalize on efficiencies and best practices.
Work closely with US Omni team on shopper media plans that are managed closely across categories per retailer.
Help evolve the ways of working with Marketing and Customer marketing to ensure ratings and reviews programs, content optimizations, and overall digital shelf health that influences placement on retail sites is actively managed.
Provide thought leadership and keep track of latest trends on the future of Digital Shelf for NA B&C platforms.
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies: 3+ years proven success in eCommerce and/or Digital Marketing Demonstrated understanding of key players and concepts in digital commerce.
Ability to leverage multiple data sets in order to generate insights that lead to a strategic recommendation.
Ability to conduct analysis, draw conclusions, and drive action based on multiple sources of data.
Experience collaborating with multiple levels of stakeholders and effectively working with multi-functional teams and external agency/vendor partners Ability to quickly adapt into a new organization with positive and proactive attitude, high energy level with comfort in ambiguity and ability to work in self-directed environment & high sense of urgency.
Maintain workflow across multiple projects in fast-paced environment.
Passion for digital & eCommerce space, success in CPG eCommerce marketing and/or sales.
Understanding of Pest brands and hazardous material RTM challenges and nuances in eCommerce Experience with digital content and syndication platforms (Salsify, Syndigo, others) preferred Advanced Degree preferred.
Leadership Skills Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and ability to work in a self-directed environment Cross-functional team partnership Strong presentation and influencing skills Action oriented + High sense of urgency Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to adjust to different needs/priorities when leading research for accounts at various levels of eCommerce maturity Job Requirements: Up to 10% travel Ability to be in Chicago or Raine offices as needed.
