*The Stand Strong Coalition* formed August 1st, 2014, by concerned parents, Jamie Epstein, and Debbie Stern.
It is a non-profit, community-based coalition dedicated to preventing underage drinking and drug use for the youth in our community.
Comprised of members representing all sectors of the community including youth, parents, local businesses, law enforcement, health care professionals, local government and school officials, faith-based organizations, and civic groups, youth-serving organizations and other agencies involved in reducing substance abuse.
Our coalition serves youth in District 125 - Adlai E.
Stevenson High School and surrounding sender school areas, including the communities of Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Prairie View and portions of Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Mundelein, Hawthorn Woods, Vernon Hills, Lake Forest, Indian Creek, Wheeling, Lake Zurich, Riverwoods, Kildeer, Palatine, and Mettawa
*We are looking for a Fundraiser to join our team and help our organization develop fundraising programs to meet our fundraising goals throughout the year*
*Job Summary:*
The *Fundraising Manager *will assist the Executive Director to create a fundraising (3-year rolling) strategy and implementation plan.
S/he will pursue funding from a variety of sources.
This is hybrid position.
Prefer to have candidates who live in the following areas to for easy access to donors: _communities of Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Prairie View and portions of Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Mundelein, Hawthorn Woods, Vernon Hills, Lake Forest, Indian Creek, Wheeling, Lake Zurich, Riverwoods, Kildeer, Palatine, and Mettawa_
_Supervisory Responsibilities:_
· None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Under the supervision of the Executive Director, lead and develop a comprehensive strategy to identify and secure new donors.
· Applies fundraising principles of acquisition, cultivation and stewardship of prospects and donors
· Creates a donor database with existing donors and prospects
· Uses all fundraising media from mail to social media
· Prepares grant applications and fundraising proposals under the Executive Director’s supervision; jointly presents proposals with the Director of Development.
· Assists the Executive Director, board of directors, volunteer fundraisers, and other stakeholders with events, and/or donor visits as needed.
· Collaborates with the Executive Director and departmental supervisors to prepare annual budgets and projections.
· Research previous fundraising efforts by studying literature and mailings available from government funding sources, private foundations, and other generous contributors.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Knowledge on the use of social media for raising funds
· Creativity and persuasion skills
· Good organizational skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Excellent analytical abilities that can be applied in aligning the organization’s objectives with available funding opportunities.
Education and Experience:
* Proven work experience as a Fundraiser or similar role Proven work experience as a Fundraiser or similar role
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
