SUMMARY: This position will assist in the creation of all external and internal communications with a focus on copywriting in alignment with the tone and brand of the organization.
The position will also act as the administrator of the organization’s intranet and control the dissemination of information on our organization’s behalf.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists Director of Marketing in the creation of effective corporate communication strategies.
Manages internal staff communications through global email and company’s intranet.
Acts as the administrator for the company’s intranet, including the creation and editing of pages and support of intranet staff requests.
Writes copy to support ongoing marketing campaigns.
Works collaboratively with the Graphic Designer and other Marketing team members in the creation of marketing campaigns.
Reviews company’s website copy and suggest copy changes that are consistent with ALEC’s brand voice.
Collaboratively creates monthly scripts for ALEC podcasts.
Manages annual editorial calendar for emails.
Works with Marketing Analyst to track results on all email campaigns.
Co-leads ongoing Marketing team meetings concerning the maintenance of the email calendar and assists Director of Marketing with ensuring emails are completed timely.
Writes copy for all email campaigns and proactively sends final emails to Compliance/Legal for review.
Creates educational blog posts and other financial wellness content.
Supports copywriting needs for large-scale organizational projects.
Works collaboratively with the Digital Product Manager to consistently optimize the buying process online.
Works with Director of Marketing to produce copy for advertisements.
Creates and manages library of campaign headlines for future use.
Assists in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
Experience Required: One (1) year of experience in copywriting.
Experience Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in a Marketing role in a financial institution as a copywriter.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Proven experience as communications specialist.
Experience in web design and content production is a plus.
Experience in copywriting and editing.
Solid understanding of project management principles Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
Excellent command of the English language.
Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
Working knowledge of financial products and services is a plus.
