Under the direction of the Director of Sales - Personal Lines, this position is responsible for generating new business sales, maintaining and building upon renewal relationships, and providing proactive service and account management to clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prospect and generate new business appointments
Over-serve top customers
Round out accounts
Seek cross-sell opportunities from other departments
Complete opportunities tab including activity reports and other reports required by Sales Director
Attend and actively participate in agency sales and sales training meetings
Understand and adhere to roles and responsibilities in servicing business
Understand and adhere to the new business and renewal business marketing policies and procedures
Complete New Business Workflow including entry into EPIC system, obtain client signatures and coverage waivers as needed
Utilization of all technology efficiencies - i.
e.
Indio, iOi, Exdion, etc.
Submit New Business to carriers and handle underwriting questions arising from submissions
Review any book conversion spreadsheets and select carrier in which coverage is placed following proper workflows
Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
Forward Rewrite business to service team to handle
Continue professional development (i.
e.
stay current with industry changes, continuous sales training, pursue professional designations, etc.
)
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or any other related degree
Must have a positive "can-do" attitude, possess a passion for insurance, and be a self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative - adherence to all Core Values
Related experience includes previous sales experience preferably in the insurance industry
Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses preferred (required after employed)
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom and all social media channels
Must be a Team Player and work well with others
