Description of Job: The Sr.
Product Specialist supports the Plant Growth Regulator / Biorational Crop Enhancement (BCE) business unit with analytics, market research, project management and marketing.
The position interacts with different areas in the company involved in the execution of marketing projects and product management activities.
Principal Responsibilities: Product Management and Product Life Cycle management SKU phase in/phase out: Execute the SKU phase in/phase out plans as well as SKU optimization initiatives (including formulation, label, and package requirements, etc.
) collaboratively with business management.
Monitor and document the progress of ongoing projects from a marketing perspective (validity of marketing assumption, voice of the customer, affiliate feedback, etc.
) Business analysis: Analyze profitability of SKUs and new business initiatives.
Work jointly with Sr.
Product Manager in alternatives for portfolio optimization.
In coordination with Sr.
Product Manager and Regional Business Manager executing pre-launch commercial tactics for pipeline products to ensure commercial readiness of the organization.
Align with Project Management Office to oversee the fulfillment of all cross-functional initiatives to ensure strategic alignment with business objectives.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis Perform market research on the appropriate competitive set for relevant markets, macro and local trends, voice of the customer, key performance indicators, etc.
Keep the most updated and relevant competitive information for current and future product offerings.
Provide competitive intelligence that supports the development of annual asset and crop plans and annual campaigns.
Provide inputs for Due Diligence efforts for Merger and Acquisition and licensing initiatives.
Tactical Marketing Support Administer brand guidelines for associated crop brands, including brand identity, positioning, and product stewardship.
Coordinate and update presentations, marketing communications materials, etc.
Coordinate marketing meetings and initiatives, including market research and voice of the customer efforts.
Support Business Management, MarCom, Regional Marketing Management, etc.
on the development and implementation of tactics to support annual crop and asset strategies.
Serve as the key liaison with the communications team on a variety of BCE initiatives including development of collateral.
Capabilities: Strong business reporting, project management, and financial analysis.
Able to develop effective relationships and operate with different teams in the company.
Effective leadership, time management and organizational skills.
Strong business acumen, analytical, problem solving, data manipulation and management skills.
Strong computer skills that include reporting software and business intelligence.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree, with 3-5+ years of related experience.
Product or project management experience (3+ years).
Agriculture-related industry experience is a plus.
Education: BA/S in Business Administration, Science, or equivalent degree.
MBA is a plus.
Location: Global business headquarters in Libertyville, Illinois is preferred.
Remote/ hybrid could be considered.
