Farmers Market Sales Associate

We’re a garlic business and we’re growing like crazy! We grow ALOT of our own garlic and turn it into amazing garlic products.
We’re looking for a go-getter who will work farmer markets on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Currently, we are in need of someone to work the Kenosha Public Market held on Saturdays at the beautiful Kemper Center situated on Lake Michigan.
We also looking for someone to work a Farmers Market at Milaegers in Racine, WI.
Your own vehicle is necessary.
Hours of markets: 10-2.
What you’ll be doing: -Pick up products & supplies at our location in Libertyville -Travel to Farmer Market location(s) with products and supplies.
Summer markets includes a tent.
-Set up products before market opens and be ready to sell - Provide exceptional customer service to all customers - Assist customers in finding and selecting the right products - Offer samples to customers explaining how to utilize/cook with our products as well as benefits of our products - Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities - Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using SQUARE pos - Maintain a clean and organized table - Stay up-to-date on product offerings and prices -Break down of table after market ends -return product to our Libertyville location.
-Possibility of helping us out behind the scenes with making of products, labeling, and social media, if interested.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in retail sales-food experience a plus - Strong communication skills and ability to convey excitement about our products - Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets - Knowledge of retail math and ability to perform basic calculations - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously -Must be reliable.
Markets are held rain or shine.
