As our Retail Store Associate, you are enhancing customer engagement with our brands by providing excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues and acting as resource to customers on a variety of items including products and warranty information and promotions.
ATTENTION ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS: This is a great entry level role to apply your customer service, marketing and sales skills.
Part time work schedule - Tuesday/Thursday/Friday and every other Saturday.
Average 24-27 hours per week.
Located at our beautiful Headquarters along Lake Michigan in downtown Racine: 555 Main Street, Racine, WI.
If you’ve got a talent for customer service, sales or marketing and bringing a positive approach to helping others enjoy the great outdoors, then it's time for you to join the Johnson Outdoors family! What you will be doing: Assists in the retail store by offering outstanding customer service, generating sales, merchandising and safeguarding company assets.
Provides excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues and acting as resource to customers on a variety of items including products and warranty information and promotions.
Ensures a positive purchasing experience by projecting a positive, professional image of the company and its products and displays a strong knowledge of outdoor recreational products.
Assists with the shipping and receiving of merchandise.
Unpacks shipments of products, stocks shelves, performs a basic inspection for defects and ensures proper quantity and quality is received.
Assists in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
Completes sales transactions, accepts payments and applies appropriate discounts.
Performs general housekeeping functions such as vacuuming, sweeping and dusting.
May assist with collecting market information, pricing and merchandising products as required by individual sites.
May be responsible for participating in off-site sales related events as required by individual sites.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed: Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively educate on product details and promotions while delivering a positive, quality customer experience.
Ability to learn about various outdoor recreational products, display passion regarding the products, and effectively communicates product information to customers.
Skills in performing basic mathematic functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to periodically lift 50 pounds.
May be required to lift overhead and also be required to lift up to 75 pounds at certain sites.
