Position requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Regional Account Manager focuses on growing business at existing accounts as well as securing new business growth with new customers.
By collaborating closely with the business team, technology, manufacturing, marketing and innovation colleagues, as well as other Chroma resources, the successful candidate will be able to leverage our value proposition as a market leader in our space to deliver growth.
Achieve year over year sales growth in the defined geographic area.
Grow business at existing accounts.
Identify, cultivate relationships, and develop new business with new customers.
Negotiate and close new contracts and supply agreements that achieve a mutual win for both the customer and Chroma.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors as well as promoting strong internal relations.
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.
g.
quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
Establish annual budget for all accounts and be accountable to delivering on the budget.
Prepare reports on account status and updates.
Proficiently utilize Chroma’s CRM (“Empower”) as the primary tool for account data management, customer activities, pipeline opportunity tracking, meeting notes, reports, technical requests (Color Match Requests).
Prior sales experience and demonstrated success in the colorant and additive concentrate industry.
Demonstrated track record of growth identifying and landing “new accounts”.
Strong performance in commercial excellence tools: account plan development, articulating value propositions and demonstrated ability to lead new product development projects with customers.
Skilled in selling “value” and penetrating prospects and customers (high/wide/deep) with the decision makers and influencers in their organizations to generate profitable growth.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization structure with strong influencing and communication skills.
Must be highly organized, articulate and demonstrate intellectual rigor with a keen focus on being customer centric.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally as well as in preparing and delivering customer communications.
Must we willing to travel 50-70% as needed.
