As an Engineering Specialist, your work contributes directly to achieving that mission and making a significant impact on others.

Our teams collaborate cross-functionally and work together to achieve the best outcome for patients and caregivers! Your Team Baxter provides one of the broadest Parenteral Nutrition portfolios globally, which includes premix IV solutions, vitamins and lipids, as well as pharmacy workflow management, labeling, compounding technology and enteral nutrition syringes and accessories.
The Clinical Nutrition Device team manages a portfolio of devices and technology solutions to facilitate automated and manual compounding, and pharmacy workflows.
As an Engineering Specialist, you will be working directly with PDOs and SMEs to develop and deliver innovative healthcare solutions in alignment with the Clinical Nutrition strategic direction and operational priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of standard engineering techniques and have a proven track record of applying them to development efforts for new and existing products in the clinical nutrition portfolio.
What you'll be doing Applies state of the art techniques in the area of expertise to develop new or improved products and processes.
Lead a large-scale program or several small projects with complex features.
Performs financial planning and assists in the analysis to justify project approval.
Independently plans, schedules and leads cross-functional team in detailed phases of the engineering work in a project.
May supervise one or more engineers or technicians.
Effectively work and communicate with cross-functional and global teams.
Work across a variety of engineering disciplines to create meaningful product designs for both users and the business.
What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years of related experience required.
Must have experience or advanced training and demonstrate proficiency (e.
g.
computer-aided design, total quality management, statistical methods, problem analysis and resolution, materials science, design of experiments, single use disposables development, systems integration) Completely proficient in relevant products or process development processes.
Proven track record of managing wide-ranging activities within a particular business unit.
Proven track record of creative problem solving for technical problems.
Strong demonstrated leadership skills to drive project definition and closure with cross-functional teammates.
Extensive cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
Ability to organize and present technical and project management overviews without assistance.
Experience to actively improve best engineering practices within the team.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.
The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000 to $187,000 annually.
The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
