The Facility| Building Maintenance Technician’s purpose is to maintain a safe, functional, and efficient building for all operations and employees.
This role will be focused on general building maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping.
The position also requires 24/7 on-call for building emergency response
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate with outside contractors for necessary repair services as needed
Maintain proper documentation records for scheduled and completed maintenance activities
Perform and assist with facility inspections for example CO2 and Smoke detector batteries, exits free and clear, fire extinguishers full and up to date, safety walks, etc.
Provides general and detailed maintenance including patching, painting, hardware repairs, building desks/workstations, shelving, and other repair/replacement work as required
Replacing consumable items such as light bulbs/ballasts, hinges, fan blades, handles, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
Review operating data to ensure boilers and equipment are performing at optimal levels.
Handle and maintain equipment making manual adjustments to equipment, and replacing gauges, valves, or filters on the heating systems.
Maintains cleanliness of building and grounds including garbage removal, sweeping and mopping floors, cleanliness of bathrooms, managing sprinkler system, street litter removal, maintaining exterior walkways including salting and snow removal, fences, and pest control.
Operate company vehicle as required
Responds to emergency call-ins during storms or natural disasters that require grounds to be cleared of debris, snow, or ice.
Assists in maintaining adequate custodial supply stock
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Facilities Technician in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
MUST have a current Boilers license OR be willing to go to school to earn obtain one
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s license (must also be insurable on a corporate policy/ good driving record)
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform repetitive physical labor for 8+ hours a day, and the ability to utilize hand and power tools
