*Key Responsibilities:* * *Role Designation:* As an integral part of our patient care ensemble, you, the Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Wound Care Treatment, will administer specialized care under a Nurse Practitioner’s supervision.
* *Specialized Care Provision:* You'll be the primary provider of skin care for our residents, focusing on the treatment and therapy of various skin disorders.
* *Disorder Management:* Your expertise will allow you to identify, manage, and treat skin disorders and lesions ranging from abrasions, foot issues (e.
g.
, corns, callouses), decubitus ulcers, to infections (bacterial, parasitic, viral), scaling popular diseases, and benign tumors.
* *Treatment Administration:* Following established protocols, you will offer treatments for uncomplicated dermatologic disorders under the Nurse Practitioner’s oversight.
* *Documentation:* Meticulously document treatments and findings in the health records of residents, adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality and care.
* *Patient Interaction:* Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, coupled with superior communication (both written and verbal) and organizational capabilities.
* *Wound and Dermatologic Care:* Engage in the evaluation and management of a variety of wounds (acute, chronic, surgical, and dermatologic), closely tracking treatment efficacy and patient progress in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
* *Educational Outreach:* Provide tailored patient education and counseling, empowering individuals in their care journey.
*Qualifications:* * *Licensure:* Must possess a valid Illinois Practical Nurse License (LPN).
* *Experience:* Two years of wound care experience is preferred.
* *Certifications:* Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required.
Additional certification in wound care is highly desirable.
* *Language Proficiency:* Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend the language proficiently.
Bilingual skills are strongly preferred.
