The primary function of the position is to manage assigned projects using standardized project management tools and processes.
The incumbent will drive one or more projects, either independently or with an experienced Project Manager (depending on scope) while working directly with team members and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
•Provide basic project management support to project teams, including action item tracking, organization and communication of team materials.
Supports the development of project planning scenarios in collaboration with team members; assists with the identification, monitoring, and analysis of project risks.
•Recognizes when corrective action and planning are necessary, and assists with root cause analysis
•Apply basic project management principles and techniques to the coordination and completion of assigned goals and tasks.
Prioritize tasks with effective use of time.
•Support basic monthly project plan maintenance and information reporting.
Ensure proper input of project information and accuracy of data.
•Compile and provide routine standard reports monthly.
Proactively address conflicting, incorrect, insufficient, or inappropriate information prior to report publication.
•Provide general support, administration, and guidance regarding project management practices and systems to others who use Project Office tools.
•Establish and maintain strong working relationships within department and stakeholders.
•Interacts with Managers and Directors in support of project coordination and management.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical, scientific, or project management related discipline.
•2 years professional work experience, preferably in project management, system-based processes, or the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
•Must be self-directed and work well in a team environment, possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be process-oriented
•The incumbent must be able to discern the difference between general vs.
confidential/sensitive reporting information and act accordingly.
•Experience/Awareness in the tools and techniques of Project Management or Business Excellence desired.
•Proficient technology skills (e.
g.
, MS Office software, MS Project, etc.
) preferred
