The Associate Director / Manager, Talent Management for International Commercial will join a diverse, collaborative team of specialists whose primary focus is to drive business performance through comprehensive talent strategies.
This individual will be instrumental in educating and consulting with leaders and Business Human Resources (BHR) on talent management best practices to drive talent outcomes and business performance for an Area (Europe or Intercontinental) within the International Therapeutics business unit in Commercial.
The position reports to the Director / Associate Director, International Therapeutics, Talent Management.
The Europe Talent Management position is based out of Europe, preferably in Paris, France.
The Intercontinental Talent Management position is based out of Lake County, IL, US.
Responsibilities:
· Lead a cross-functional team of Talent team colleagues to create and implement a comprehensive talent strategy to advance the Commercial talent pipeline with a focus on critical roles.
· Partner with BHR and key stakeholders to establish and implement talent and development strategies, in alignment with the broader AbbVie Talent Management strategy and practices.
· Guide Human Resources and Business Leaders to adopt a talent-first agenda and make associated talent decisions that align with the business strategy.
· Partner with and coach leadership to identify top talent within the organization and differentiate their development, creating a deep pipeline of talent.
· Lead process implementation for Performance Management and Talent Reviews; train BHR on practice, process and tools.
Support BHR and leaders to implement the practices consistently.
Drive better process and talent outcomes year over year.
· Provide proficient consultation on all phases of talent management such as succession planning, performance management, assessment and feedback, development planning, and senior leader transitions.
Appropriately challenge to obtain ideal outcomes.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to assess, and provide input into, the design of development to fill gaps in the talent pipeline for high potential and high performing employees, or key teams.
· Lead several forums with senior level business leaders and HR to drive talent sharing across the Commercial organization and with AbbVie.
· Assess talent data and provide insights that lead to solutions and actions to build capability of talent.
· Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree a plus.
· 5 years in Human Resources, preferably with emphasis in Talent Management.
· Demonstrated results working in and managing complex projects across multidisciplinary, matrix environments.
· Proven experience influencing and leading teams indirectly.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build executive ready presentations and communicate with executive audiences.
· Experience with developing strategies and implementing the related tactics.
· Experience leveraging senior business leaders to sponsor solutions.
· Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills.
· Preferred: Advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Management; Experience in Pharmaceutical industry.
