The Security Architect will be part of the IRON Architecture team and be acting as the primary SME for domain teams implementing business applications.
The role will be responsible for providing security guidance in alignment with AbbVie’s established security standards.
The role will be reviewing, guiding, evaluating, and implementing security standards to support business applications.
The Security Architect should have a thorough understanding of applications across the application portfolio and security requirements and use this knowledge to identify and mitigate security risks.
The Security Architect also works with other BTOs and ISRM teams to ensure that security is a core component of applications and is integrated into all aspects of AbbVie’s applications and operations.
In this position you will be responsible for:
Integrating security standards into business applications and ensure alignment with AbbVie’s security requirements and multiple levels of data classification.
Documenting and addressing AbbVie’s information security, cybersecurity architecture and create How-to documents to guide project teams throughout the life cycle.
Ensuring that both packaged applications (COTS) and custom developed applications are consistent with AbbVie’s security architecture guidelines.
Supporting in security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.
Defining and documenting how the implementation of a new application and/or new interfaces between applications can impact the security posture of environment.
Collaborating with the AbbVie ISRM security team to conduct security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of security controls.
Investigating and respond to security incidents.
Educating and train employees on security best practices.
Staying up to date on the latest security threats and trends.
Experiences that will make you a strong candidate:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience.
5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture
Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies
Experience with security risk assessment and mitigation
Experience with designing and implementing security solutions.
Experience with security incident response
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Beneficial:

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
