Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
"Ideal employee" is someone who knows the relevant industry content and can apply that knowledge to complete the tasks of their assigned job role.
Be able to perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to your assigned duties.
Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans and physician orders.
Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
Make rounds with physicians as necessary.
Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
Be willing to take on other duties and assignments within the scope of your knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handle multiple priorities.
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
Competent in organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday; lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
· Must be able to cope with the mental & emotional stress of the position.

· May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
· Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication.
