Summary
Nexus Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
is looking to recruit a hands-on Calibration Technician to join a growing team at our new manufacturing site in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
The Calibration Technician reports to the Calibration Manager and plays a key role in supporting the daily calibration activities for a manufacturing facility that will make sterile injectable drugs.
Responsibilities:
Calibrate, install, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment used to control and measure variables such as pressure, temperature, dimensional, mass, and motion.
Perform HEPA filter integrity testing of clean rooms and personnel, product, and or environmental protection devices.
Develop and maintain test procedures to verify instrument measurement performance.
Enter data into BMRAM databases, review calibration documentation, and create calibration certificate templates.
Author and/or assist in nonconformance reports and deviations associated with instrument performance.
Communicate instrumentation problems with equipment owners and Management.
Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System relevant to this position.
Coordinate with vendors for the shipping/receiving of calibration equipment.
Maintain SS principles in the Metrology laboratory and personal workspace.
Projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Education or Experience:
Associate degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
Experience in Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management or equivalent program (CMMS).
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a GMP/GDP facility: Pharmaceutical, medical device, nuclear, food, etc.
Experience working in a clean room and clean manufacturing environment is a plus.
Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical/electrical equipment.
Travel Requirements:
0-10% Travel required for this role.
Physical Requirements:
Regular (0% - 50%) exertion including standing/walking for extended periods of time.
Lifting/carrying more than 15 and up to 50 pounds.
At times low physical effort includes sitting, and operating computers or other small equipment.
