POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will be responsible for various accounting, annual planning, forecasting, financial analysis and actual reporting activities for the site.
The position will also be involved in internal controls, auditing, Sarbanes Oxley and review activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support monthly financial close and variance analysis
Support annual planning and monthly forecasts
Prepare management reports
Perform ad hoc analysis as required by the business controllers and / or CFO
Assist with maintaining General Ledger and preparation of financial statements for operating and consolidated companies within SL-MTI
Perform account reconciliations
Support consolidation software with parent company
Support accounting controls activities, Sarbanes Oxley, and other legal or statutory requirements
Assist with process improvement projects as required.
Support internal and external audits
Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as necessary
Other tasks as needed due to the changing needs of the business
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business equivalent
Strong knowledge and experience with an ERP system
Minimum of five years of financial analysis experience
Minimum of two years' experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office products.
Strong problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and take on new challenges.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
International accounting and SOX audit experience a plus
