Major Responsibilities:
Prepares financial and statistical analysis for Aurora Health Care and affiliates.
Prepares, communicates and monitors financial projections.
Participates in the development of detailed cost accounting and productivity standards and utilizes them in financial proformas and budgeting.
In addition, the incumbent must perform subsequent variance analysis on these standards.
Participates in the development and maintenance of procedural prices using appropriate costing methodologies and market analysis and reimbursement information.
Prepares, communicates and monitors operating and capital budgets.
Acts as support for all areas of budgeting, finance, cost accounting and reporting.
Applies the rules and regulations, and payment mechanisms of government programs and managed care companies to financial activities.
Prepares, communicates, and monitors benchmarking activities.
May prepare and/or provide necessary information required for completing the Medicare and Medicaid interim and year-end cost reports as assigned.
Uses Excel spreadsheets to develop automated processes in order to minimize manual efforts.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
None Required.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
Experience Required:
Typically requires 3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Experience using various computers/software systems including Word, Windows based mainframe, database spreadsheets, and generating reports from various databases.
The ability to learn new applications and instruct others on their use is needed.
An understanding of the various rules and regulations of government programs and their related implications.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.
Exposed to normal office environment.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
