The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Abbott Park, IL.
This position will be responsible for providing primary financial support for various Corporate FP&A activities and deliverables.
Specifically, preparation of key deliverables such as Board of Directors financial materials and the long-term strategic planning process or Organic Execution Model (OEM).
Also, engineering monthly analytics to provide insights into individual business and total Abbott performance
You will partner with team members in Corporate FP&A as well as working with revenue and non-revenue divisions to deliver insightful information to senior management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead/assist with preparation of Board of Directors financial materials
Assist with preparation of financial materials for the long-term strategic planning process and OEM
Provide meaningful financial analysis (P&L, profitability, Sales Growth, etc.
) on a Division and Country level basis to multiple end-users
Assist with providing meaningful insights into monthly results to be used as support for Corporate Controller into Operations Staff meeting
Continuously work to enhance current reporting processes and document as appropriate
Support ad-hoc analysis and projects
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
2-5 years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and financial modeling
Previous experience working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and financial planning applications
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and engage others to accomplish projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
Minimal travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Hyperion Financial Planning System (HFM) and Essbase
