We are currently seeking a Controller to join our team.
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
The Controller will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely financial information, analysis, and guidance to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance and trends.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and maximize returns.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all financial reporting and tax obligations.
Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to senior management to support business decision-making and drive profitability.
Reconcile Work-in-progress (WIP) accounts to ensure that the balances accurately reflect the status of completed jobs and that any necessary adjustments are made before closing the accounting period.
Oversee the review and approval of all financial transactions related to the completed job, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Oversee payroll, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Business Central & Power BI is a plus.
Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
