`*What will you be doing?*
· *Steward finances with ethical standards.
* In the role of a CPA, one should be able to set up and understand controls regarding receipt of cash, incoming checks, authorization of invoices, signing of checks, and cash deposits.
· *Ensure appropriate licenses and permits.
*Understand a nonprofit 501(c)(3) status, that is subject to special permits and licenses, in addition to those that are required for certain activities such as holding a special event.
· *Supervise financial filings.
*The Treasurer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that filings, particularly form 990, are submitted in an accurate and timely manner.
Keep a calendar of when filings are due, and support consulting with a nonprofit CPAas needed.
Should also understand a nonprofit is registered with the appropriate charitable solicitation agencies; the Unified Registration Statement(URS).
Understand reviewing third-party required annual audits.
· *Recognize donations.
*Should help set up systems and oversee the written confirmation and recognition of donations that comply with IRS requirements for reporting, particularly for donor tax records.
· *Review timely financial reports.
*Reviewing finances against budget.
Additionally, understand commercial accounting software, in addition to cloud-based options.
We have an outstanding staff and current board members in the CPA-like role but we would like to expand.

To promote the awareness and full exercise of human, statutory and constitutional rights for persons with disabilities.
Term of Member: Each Board Member serves a term of a three (3) year period.
Disability Representation: At least fifty-one (51) percent of the Board Members shall be composed of individuals with disabilities.
Board Meetings: The Board holds at least nine (9) regular meetings a year, on weekdays at noon.
