Styberg Engineering has been a mainstay company in Racine, Wisconsin as a contract manufacturer of medium to heavy gauge metal components.
The company started in a garage with two tool makers and has grown over the years to a 175,000 sq.
ft facility with 150 employees.
Stybergs’ facility includes a wide range of processes – metalworking equipment, including heavy metal stamping, heat-treating, precision machining, welding, grinding, and deburring with the quality department assuring compliance to all the requirements.
As the Manufacturing Process Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, inspecting, and improving industrial processes in our custom metal fabrication and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Analyze and evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify gaps in our production process and develop solutions to optimize our manufacturing process.
Assess compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards, report/document, and propose solutions as appropriate.
Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions through performing process simulations, risk assessment, and testing to eliminate time and cost constraints.
Estimating production costs
Assist in designing and planning equipment layout
Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field or 5+ years of experience working as a Manufacturing Process Engineer
2+ years of experience working in a metal fabrication environment
Experience with process simulations and developing standard operating procedures
Skilled at utilizing CAD and AutoCAD software
The position requires excellent analytical and math skills
Must have strong project management and analytical thinking skills
