Metalex powered by UPG is looking for a Quality Engineer II based in Libertyville, IL.
Metalex is looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Any relevant steel experience is preferred, but not required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain quality control system and documents, which may include but are not limited to procedures, audits, controls, corrective actions, and calibrations Maintain control of procedural documents; write new procedures; revise existing procedures; ensure procedural compliance Conduct internal audits, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions Perform root cause analysis for internal issues and customer complaints; make recommendations for solutions Maintain records of quality issues, corrective action and general quality statistics, report on quality performance to management Inspect components and material; ensure compliance with blueprint requirements Work with external vendors to ensure quality standards are met, work with Purchasing and suppliers on material quality issues Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field Three (3) years of experience in a quality position; manufacturing experience preferred Proficiency with measuring tools: micrometers, calibers, comparator, gages, etc.
