Lining Technician

*Areas of Responsibility and Authority (responsibilities are not limited to the following)* * Diagnoses and resolves problems on Lining and Assembly machines.
* -Follows safety standards while working on Lining and Assembly machines and reports any safety issues immediately to Shift Leader.
-Ensures quality standards are met as established for lined and assembled parts.
* Tooling set ups on Lining and Assembly machines.
-Pulls tooling and sets new tooling.
-Performs start-up procedure, including line clearance.
-Responsible for proper storage of dies and related equipment after removal from Lining and Assembly machine.
-Runs materials and product to and from the Lining and Assembly area.
* Performs preventative maintenance on Lining and Assembly machines on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
-Notifies Shift Leader of any worn dies or equipment noticed during preventative maintenance.
​ * Maintains proper documentation for all Lining and Assembly materials and machines.
-Daily, weekly, monthly reporting of OEE and scrap information.
* Provides support by directing the work of Machine Attendants.
-Communicates and delegates planned and unplanned activities in conjunction with department production monitoring system (Barco).
-Instructs other Machine Attendants in informal and formal training sessions.
-Assigns and relieves Machine Attendants on Lining and Assembly machines as needed.
* Maintains direct involvement with Molding, Quality, and Maintenance.
-Communicates with prior and oncoming shift personnel regarding daily issues encountered.
* Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
*Required Education/Skills* * High School or GED Required * Basic Math Skills - Required * Able to use basic hand tools.
* Troubleshooting abilities.
*Technical Skills* * Basic Math Skills - Required * Low Level Maintenance and basic restarts - Required *Physical Requirements* * Manufacturing environment.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls.
The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
