Position Title: Advancement Director (Director of Donor & Alumni Engagement) Employment Type: Full time, Limited, Salaried Reports To: The Director of Donor & Alumni Engagement will report to the Director of Development (University Advancement) Full Time Pay Range: $60,000-70,000 annualized, commensurate with experience The Director of Donor & Alumni Engagement is a key leader in UW-Parksides efforts as we raise funds and build community with a broad network of donors and alumni, in support of student success.
The Director of Donor & Alumni Engagement sets the strategy and provides direction for the university's annual fundraising activities, including the highly successful annual day of giving (Parkside Day).
This role also guides donor recognition and alumni engagement tactics, and manages a team of 2-3 full time employees.
The Director of Donor & Alumni Engagement partners with units across campus, works closely with university leadership, and is a leader in the University Advancement team.
University Advancement leads UW-Parkside's development, alumni relations, communications, and marketing efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree At least 3 years of experience fundraising in a higher education or nonprofit organization setting The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success leading and achieving goals for an annual fundraising program.
They will have previous supervisory experience and an affinity for UW-Parkside's educational mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Annual Fundraising & Donor Stewardship Lead the strategy and execution of broad-based fundraising activities: direct mail, digital appeals, and events, including the university's annual Parkside Day day of giving Manage a portfolio of approximately 50 leadership annual giving prospects to secure their support annually Partner with campus units to execute targeted fundraising activities by sharing strategic guidance, best practices, and support Direct stewardship activities (communications, events, and more) to recognize and thank donors, including scholarship donor recognition, Chancellor Society annual giving circle, Wyllie Society planned giving circle, alumni donors, and more Use the Raiser's Edge database proficiently to record donor information, monitor gift data, analyze fundraising performance, and set goals for annual fundraising and donor stewardship areas Alumni Engagement Direct the university's alumni engagement strategy with the goals of creating alumni goodwill, raising the profile of the university among alumni and in the wider community, and increasing financial support.
Lead the execution of alumni engagement activities: communications, events, and individual alumni engagement, including the university's Distinguished Alumni Awards program Partner with campus units on projects related to alumni engagement Management Supervise a team of 2-3 full-time employees, multiple student employees, and volunteers (as needed) Manage vendor relationships and tools used for annual fundraising Work with Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Director of Development to engage volunteer leadership groups (UW-Parkside Foundation, UW-Parkside Alumni Association, etc.
) in fundraising and alumni engagement Participate in university events and meetings for fundraising and donor/alumni engagement, both during working hours and occasionally on evenings and weekends Other duties as assigned SPECIAL NOTES: SALARY AND BENEFITS Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
