Position Summary Under the general direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, the Admissions Communications Specialist is responsible for providing Slate support and execution of all admissions communications.
Communications can include a range of written and electronic collateral from marketing and promotional materials, correspondence, website material, and other communication sources.
The Admissions Communications Specialist is a key member of a high-performing enrollment marketing team who will share RFU’s story with prospective and admitted students, pre-health advisors and influencers, and community and professional organizations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for executing and maintaining CRM (Slate) communication plans, ad-hoc messaging, and related processes for prospective students at varying stages of the admissions process.
Write student-centered content for communication campaigns, promoting benefits over features.
Develop creative story and content ideas while being mindful of the audience.
Research writing topics, if necessary.
Collaborate with colleagues in marketing and communications when writing for publications Verify facts using standard reference sources.
Read content and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Rewrite copy to make it easier for readers to understand.
Work within the CRM to assist in the creation of events in Slate and executes event-related communications.
Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check Must have proof of COVID 19 vaccination or a university approved exemption Required Education & Experience Baccalaureate degree in journalism, communications, business, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications, public relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with the Slate CRM communications module.
Prior experience in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills, including grammar and syntax.
Ability to meet deadlines as established.
Ability to work accurately and independently.
Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft suite of products.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in communications or student development theory.
At least 2 years of related experience in Admissions utilizing Technolutions Slate CRM, or similar program.
Prior work in graduate admissions or the health professions.
