SUMMARY: Responsible for processing home equity loan requests in preparation for underwriting review.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analyzes new applications, inputs data in loan origination system and generates initial disclosures
Organizes and monitors loan files to ensure timely processing
Prepares loan files for underwriting and assists in all aspects of loan processing, in addition to general file maintenance
Orders title, credit, and appraisal reports
Assists in preparing files for document imaging
Performs post-closing functions – insures file integrity
Assists Loan Officers with loan fulfillment
Subordination requests
Manages department reports
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Back up to first mortgage processor
Disclose on 1st mortgage files
Collect, organize, and prepare supporting documents
Order appraisal, title, and insurance
Work with MLO to prepare file for underwriting
Prepare and submit release of mortgages to county/member
Audit functions, as assigned
Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Certification Preferred: NMLS Certification
Experience Required: One (1) year of real estate processing experience
Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of mortgage processing experience in a financial institution

Ability to organize workflow, prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to perform analysis of loan requests, including credit analysis and income computation
Ability to perform job functions independently
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and/or external members
Ability to use computers and job-specific technology/software efficiently
Maintains confidentiality
Performs responsibilities with composure, quality and accuracy under stress of deadlines/requirements
