Mortgage Loan Originator

Responsibilities: - Meet with potential borrowers to discuss their mortgage needs and financial situation - Assist borrowers in completing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation - Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on creditworthiness, income, and other factors - Guide borrowers through the mortgage process, providing updates and answering any questions or concerns - Collaborate with underwriters to ensure loan applications meet lending criteria - Stay up-to-date on mortgage industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices - Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process Requirements: - Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or Loan Officer - Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and Fair Housing regulations - Proficiency in using accounting software and mortgage-specific software (e.

, Quicken) - Excellent 10-key typing skills and ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations - Demonstrated success in financial sales and meeting sales targets - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with borrowers and other stakeholders - Ability to work independently and manage multiple loan applications simultaneously - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of loan applications Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
