We are currently looking for an experienced RN with a background in Pediatrics, who holds both PALS and Pediatric Vent certifications.
The RN will be responsible for monitoring and providing care to an elementary aged student during the school day, Monday-Friday.
This role is based in Kenosha, WI.
Responsibilities:
Travel to/from school with child on school bus
Provide companionship and care throughout the school day including monitoring and maintaining tracheotomy and vent and assisting with personal care
Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday following the school district calendar
Implement treatment and plan of care using sound judgment and critical thinking
Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the care plan and nursing processes
Perform all skills, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adhere to the company policy, procedures, and protocols
Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:
An unencumbered Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
Minimum of (1) year nursing experience
Excellent problem-solving skills, organization and multi-tasking skills
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.
)
Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, up-to-date TB skin test, PALS and Pediatric Vent Certifications
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull
Must be able to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds
