The Opportunity Our location in Abbott Park, IL (Lake County) or Irving, TX has an opportunity for a Senior Scientist Technical Support.
The Senior Scientist will be part of our Data Analytics team and they will combine technical understanding of the products with data exploration and analysis tools to identify trends in field performance to support complaint investigations, CAPA and product/ process improvements.
Independently manage complex and long-duration projects, product improvements and investigations.
Proactively identify opportunities for significant operational, process or product improvements.
Create, interpret and document technical data that interacts with multiple areas and processes.
Apply statistical techniques, understanding of DMAIC process and or project management tools to assist in resolution of multiple complex technical and quality issues across ATM sites, TPMs and/or functions (instrument, reagents, software and commodities).
Anticipate, recognize and resolve technical issues.
What You’ll Work On Applies knowledge of product or process design, standardization, performance anchors and modes of control to interpret trends in field performance data.
Provides diverse, independent technical data and insight to support complaint investigations, risk management evaluation and assessment.
Recognizes opportunities and proactively proposes novel ideas for significant operational, process or product improvements.
Identifies technical alternatives and uses data to make risk-based decisions within the area.
Complaint and internal investigations – Independently manages complex investigations to resolution using appropriate experimental, statistical and project management tools.
Sharing knowledge- Presents complex technical information to internal and external groups.
Shares scientific information and expertise with peers, customers and regulatory agencies.
Provides audit inputs and support as required.
Experience mentoring and teaching others to facilitate timely resolution of product and process technical issues.
Strategic and Results Orientation – Demonstrates fiscal responsibility through actionable recommendations and accomplishments.
Translates top-level goals to specific goals and aligns activities with respective strategic business priorities.
Minimum Qualifications Higher Certificate, Ordinary or Honors Bachelor degree in scientific and technical field is desired or relevant combination of education and experience.
4 years’ related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications Competency in Data gathering, Analysis, Documentation and Project Management strongly preferred.
Experience with data collection, exploration, analysis and presentation tools strongly preferred.
Experience with JMP, Excel, Power BI and SQL.
Advanced degree preferred.
