*Position Summary:*As a Housekeeper at Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a consistently clean, sanitary, and inviting atmosphere throughout the facility.
By upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, you will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Cleaning Duties:* Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and other patient and staff areas.
*Sanitation:* Utilize hospital-approved disinfectants to prevent the spread of germs, bacteria, and viruses, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
*Waste Management:* Collect, dispose of, and appropriately segregate waste, including recyclables and medical waste.
*Linen Management:* Change bed linens, towels, and other provided textiles as needed, ensuring they are laundered and stored appropriately.
*Supply Restocking:* Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries in designated areas.
*Equipment Maintenance:* Ensure all cleaning equipment is well-maintained, clean, and stored properly after use.
*Reporting:* Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, or concerns related to the facility's cleanliness or equipment functionality.
*Safety Protocols:* Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
*Continuous Learning:* Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in hospital cleanliness and sanitation.
*Qualifications:*
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a healthcare or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of cleaning methods and techniques, as well as safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical stamina to carry out cleaning tasks and ability to lift or move items as necessary.
Effective communication skills.
Position is for up to 5 days a week including every other weekend.
