2 VINTAGE – ENAMELWARE BASINS – 16”x5” & 14”x6” This offering is for two (2) used, vintage porcelain finished metal hand basins.
They are old and look old as it would for three five generations of use in my family.
They served as a wash basin for many years, at times my mother filled with fresh fruit which always sat in the table or counter.
We used as an indoor/outdoor planter, fruit bowl, but mostly recently sat in a box and stored until now.
They don’t make them like this anymore, made to be used, last years and it did.
This makes a great, functional, utilitarian house ware, vintage design element, indoor/outdoor planter base for a flowerpot, or let your mind explore some creative use.
It is time to pass this on for future generations as reminder of the past when running water for washing meant someone was running with the bucket from the outdoor hand pump.
The water was fresh, clear, cold, free, and refreshing.
We are not dealers or collectors.

Description: Round, ¾ “lip, white with perimeter 1/8” red stripe, tapered at top 12½ “opening to 9” at base.
Color: All white porcelain with a thin red line accenting the perimeter lip edge.
Size: 14 ¼” ODW x 6” ODT Weight: 2 lb.
Material: Metal with a baked-on porcelain enamel finish.
Other: ¼” round hole in lip, I suspect to hang on wall.

Description: Round, ½ “lip, white with perimeter 1/8” black stripe, tapered at top 14½ “opening to 11” at base, two 3 ½” x 2” black/white metal handles each side.
Color: All white porcelain with a thin black line accenting the perimeter lip edge.
Size: 16” ODW x 5”ODT with handles 18” W Weight: 2.

CONDITION This item is used, vintage, and selling as is.
The round shape is retained, some dings, porcelain worn and chipped, handles strong and secure.
It has seen plenty of use after five generations in my family.
I washed with water only to preserve the original patina.
