We are a commercial and residential roofing company located in Wauconda, IL and are looking to add a PT Bookkeeper/Office Assistant.
You may expect approximately 30 hours per week, working Monday - Friday from 9:00-3:00.
Qualifications:
-Must be comfortable working in a “home” office environment
-1-3 years administrative assistant or bookkeeping experience, preferably with industry experience (roofing or construction)
-Complete proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
-Individual must be highly organized, trustworthy and reliable
-Notary preferred
-Must pass background check
-Must be comfortable being around dogs as owner sometimes will leave his dogs in your care
Responsibilities:
-You will work directly with the owner (usually by phone) and through his direction to: manage the business, the office, his personal financial responsibilities and occasional travel
-Accounts Payables and Receivables
-Prepare proposals (create, email, and document receipt of signed contract)
-Manage payouts and prepare waivers when necessary
-Request and/or provide certificates of insurance when needed
-Acquire building permits and contractor licenses as needed
-Prepare for yearly insurance audits and insurance renewals
-General office duties: filing, answering phone, light cleaning, etc.
