The Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Personnel Management, has an opening for a Human Resources Assistant – Advanced position within the Human Resources team serving the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove (WVHUG).
The Home is a 24/7/365 long-term care facility that specializes in providing comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and their spouses.
The facility is in Racine County, a short drive from Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and other key locations in southeastern Wisconsin.

Position Summary This position performs a wide variety of staffing and administrative support functions.
The primary emphasis is on coordinating daily workflow, assisting human resources staff, facility employees, and maintaining human resources records.
The duties and responsibilities include drafting and editing personnel documents; disseminating information to agency staff; developing and preparing human resources reports; providing technical assistance to professional human resources staff; providing administrative support to HR management; and organizing new employee orientation and benefit presentations and information.
The position also enters transaction data into the agency’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Salary Information The starting pay rate is between $25.
00 - $37.
30 an hour.
Current state employees’ pay will be based on the provisions in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
This classification is in Pay Schedule 81, Pay Range 04.
A twelve-month probationary period will be required.
