Introduction The Department of Health Services (DHS), Southern Wisconsin Center (SWC) is recruiting for an Operations Program Associate for the Scheduling Unit.
This position will work 9:00am – 5:30pm on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and additional hours as needed.

Position Summary SWC has nearly 500 staff that require scheduling by the scheduling Unit.
As the Operations Program Associate for that unit, you will Prepare and maintain complex work schedules for assigned 24-7 staff.
Work with supervisors and staff in the use of Atlas Scheduling software.
Complete administrative functions in Atlas.
Act as a resource to other staff in the scheduling department.
Provide program support to the supervisory office and Human Resources as needed.
Fill in as needed in absence of other staff within the scheduling unit.
Salary Information The starting salary is $21.
23 per hour, plus excellent benefits.
A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction.
This position is classified as an Operations Program Associate and is in pay schedule and range is 02/11.
Job Details All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

This position has physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite to perform duties such as creating Word documents, developing and maintaining spreadsheets, recording meeting minutes, etc.
An excel test will be required.
Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers by providing information, answering questions, etc.
Well qualified candidates will have: Experience scheduling in a 24/7 operation.
Experience working with scheduling software such as Atlas or similar programs and performing administrative functions.
Experience applying and interpreting policies or procedures.
