United Way of Lake County (UWLC) seeks an innovative individual enthusiastic about serving others and ensuring that 211 Lake County excels in delivering referral services and information to residents of Lake County.
The Coordinator, 211 Community Engagement is a key team member responsible for ensuring that 211 Lake County helps provide a positive experience and value to Lake County community members and stakeholders.
*Core Responsibilities:* *211 Lake County Responsibilities: *_*(60%)*_ _Community Engagement and Outreach_ * Develops and executes yearly outreach and engagement plans based on program strategic goals driven by Lake County’s community needs.
* Conducts targeted outreach to communities with barriers to accessing human and social services to increase awareness and utilization of 211 Lake County.
* Represents 211 Lake County at community events.
_Provider and Community Member Training_ * Develops and delivers customized training sessions for individuals, groups, and organizations to use 211 Lake County for referrals to services in Lake County.
* Develop outreach reports.
_Provider Relationships and Communication_ * Engages with assigned providers to understand training needs, identify concerns, and maintain accurate 211 Lake County database profiles.
* Supports partner relationship strategies to promote and advance 211 Lake County as a critical strategic asset with verified providers.
* Monitors 211 Lake County emails and responds to or redirects community inquiries and requests.
* Coordinates the semi-annual Provider Satisfaction Survey.
_Provider Data_ * Assists with designing data extractions and compiling data reports.
* Monitors, maintains and updates the community information needed to ensure the accuracy and relevance of 211 Lake County as a resource, including provider resource records, website guided search, and Hot Topics.
* Coordinates and tracks 211 Lake County print materials distribution to community partners.
Represents 211 Lake County in local coalitions and organizations.
*Community Impact (CI) Responsibilities: *_*(20%)*_ * Maintains provider records to ensure accurate mailing lists for Community Impact, including 211 newsletter mailing list, 211 Advisory Council, Community Impact Council, etc.
* Creates records and maintains the accuracy of Community Impact partner contact information in customer database.
* Serves as the Community Impact liaison to the in-house Andar (customer database) Workgroup.
* Collaborates with Community Impact and Marketing to provide written translation of community-facing materials (flyers, social media, etc.
) from English to Spanish to engage 211 Lake County Spanish-speaking community members.
*Administrative Responsibilities: *_*(20%)*_ * Represents Community Impact on the Administrative Team.
* Covers the UWLC front desk and provides public-facing support to people entering the building, picking up materials and deliveries, answering the phone, and responding to caller needs.

*Required Qualifications:* * A bachelor’s degree or sufficient education and experience is desired.
Bachelor’s degree in social service, marketing/communications, education, public administration, or related field or a combination of an associate degree and significant related experience.
* At least three years of experience within a nonprofit, health and human services, or other related field preferred, including understanding the social services referral and delivery system.
* Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
* Experience with another 211 service provider is preferred.
* Proven ability to design and implement effective processes and programs.
* Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency with modern technology system processes and reporting.
