We are seeking a Payroll Clerk capable of processing weekly payroll for hourly and commissioned employees.
Compensation: $60,000.
00 - $75,000.
00 annually depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll for weekly and monthly payments
Collect and verify timesheets, bonuses and commissions
Calculate proper taxes and withholdings
Remit payments for employment taxes, union and employee benefits
Submit reporting for state, federal, union, insurance etc.
Update and retain payroll records including compensation plans, vacation and benefits
Assist with maintaining employee files
Work closely with office manager
Resolve discrepancies related to payroll with employees and management
Provide additional support with accounting and miscellaneous office duties as necessary
Maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications:
Computer literate and able to learn new software
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and
Good communication skills
3-5 years of payroll or equivalent experience
